Welcome to “The 8th Earl of Sandwich Memorial Trust”. We provide important funding support for projects aimed at disadvantaged children and young people with a focus on Cambridgeshire and the East of England.
Due to the current financial uncertainty in England, we have decided to suspend some of our targeted programme investment activity to free up resources to strengthen the open programme strand. This will offer small amounts of emergency support for individual children and young people in urgent need. Our focus for the foreseeable future will continue to be on the East of England where we are based.

Our funding focus
The 8th Earl Trust provides funding across several key areas, ensuring our support reaches diverse charitable initiatives. Our focus is on empowering projects that demonstrate clear community benefit and sustainable impact.
Match funding
Where possible, we encourage applicants to provide a level of financial support that we can then match. This means our overall financial support goes further and it also demonstrate commitment from the applicant.
The match would ideally be £ for £ but we do recognise that may not be achievable.
